The Beginning
The Foursome was founded in 1935. It began as a small general clothing store located on Lake Street in Wayzata, Minnesota. The store was founded by four teachers who named their business "The Foursome", in conjunction with their favorite past time, playing golf. In 1952, the business moved into larger quarters in a remodeled grocery store at the intersection of Highways 12 and 101 in Wayzata.
Three Generations
A love for retail was passed on to his son Gordy and several of Gordy's children who carry on his vision. In 2009, a brand new store marked a new beginning for the business. Now a local landmark in Plymouth. The Foursome continues to generously serve the community.
Classics Evolved
Adaptability is essential to any legacy that endures the test of time. Innovation and excellence earned The Foursome a prestigious award from MR Magazine in 2013, recognizing the top ten menswear stores in the country. Today the store embraces an equilibrium between timeless menswear and exciting new fashion. Generations continue to enjoy a memorable shopping experience as they build their own legacies at The Foursome.
